Overview

The China Sinology Center is a national traditional culture research institute, formerly known as the Chinese National Culture and Arts Center. Since 2005, it has undertaken the "11th Five-Year" Ministry of Education planning project "Research on effective application of educational information resources", which was hosted by Vice President Teng Chun of the Chinese Academy of Education; the "12th Five-Year" Ministry of Education planning project "Research on Traditional Culture and Personality Cultivation of Primary and Secondary School Students", which is led by Zheng Zeng Yi, Deputy Director of the Department of Basic Education of the Ministry of Education; the 13th Five-Year Plan National Cultural Strategy "Research on the Construction of Chinese Excellent Traditional Culture Inheritance System" and "Special Research on International Communication of Sinology along the Belt and Road", which are led by Prof. Xu Hongwu of the National Academy of Administration and Prof. Zeng Chuanhui of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. During this period, the Center cooperated with the Education Equipment Development and Research Center of the Ministry of Education to develop digital resources for traditional culture and jointly build a cloud platform for digital resources for traditional culture in primary and secondary schools. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the institute undertook the "Research on Innovative Education of Excellent Chinese Traditional Culture" of the China Society for Educational Development Strategy, and carried out the promotion of the standardized curriculum system of traditional culture and the construction of experimental zones nationwide. After eighteen years of research work, the institute and related groups have completed the fundamental issues of traditional culture education theory, curriculum construction and teaching resources construction in preschool education, basic education, higher education, adult education, community education, and overseas Chinese culture dissemination. The goal of the research is "to have curricula for primary and secondary schools, specialties for universities, content for adult training, models for community education, and bases for overseas dissemination". At present, more than 700 volumes of standardized teaching materials and aids have been developed and published. In the basic education stage, the group proposes that the goal of traditional culture education in primary and secondary schools is "perfect personality education" for young people, that is, through the education of excellent Chinese traditional culture, students will have "good behavior, profound philosophical ideas, simple moral conduct and elegant aesthetic. ”This research concept has been widely accepted by the society. Its "Experimental Textbook of Chinese Traditional Culture Education for National Primary and Secondary Schools", the first set of systematic teaching materials for primary and secondary schools in China, has achieved great social repercussions and good teaching effects. In addition, together with experts from the Theory Bureau of the Ministry of Propaganda and professors from the National School of Administration, they have co-edited the first set of 18 volumes of the national traditional culture learning series for party and government cadres, which has entered government training at all levels as a national learning system for cultural confidence. During this period, in 2017, the China Sinology Center was the subject of the "One Belt and One Road" special study on the international dissemination of Sinology in the 13th Five-Year Plan. Under the guidance of Sinology Research Institute of Chinese Overseas-educated Scholars Development Foundation, the Center is working to establish an innovative channel for the international dissemination of Chinese culture with "Sinology" as the core concept. Overseas, the China Studies Center of each country will be the unified brand and landmark of Chinese culture, and the core work will be the compilation of different versions of Chinese teaching materials and the training of senior Chinese Studies lecturers in each country. At the same time, the Center will cooperate with famous universities overseas to establish international Chinese communication schools and establish an international education and cooperation platform for Chinese culture. In addition, the Center also undertakes the construction of the Chinese Overseas Warehouse Smart Logistics Park, creates a global cultural communication financial platform and industrial system, and realizes a cluster of high-quality assets and a supply chain financial service system. Under the guidance the Sinology Research Institute of Chinese Overseas-educated Scholars Development Foundation, the China Sinology Center is undertaking the construction of Sinology Centers in overseas countries, and focusing on training international lecturers in Chinese Studies, Chinese medicine and other leading talents of the cross-century.
