Job Responsibilities

English Native Teacher Already in China—Needed for August 2024 in Jiaxing, Zhejiang (30 minutes from Shanghai or Hangzhou) School Type: International Baccalaureate School Student Age: 5-7 years old, Key Stage 1 Working Time: 8 am-5 pm; Monday to Friday Start Time: ASAP • Design and teach English lessons aligned with the PYP curriculum and resource texts • Use differentiation methods to meet the learning needs of students • Conduct various types of assessments and map student progress • Promote student literacy with a focus on phonics • Integrate global perspectives into English lessons • Work collaboratively with teachers to create transdisciplinary learning opportunities • Plan and lead UOIs • Document, evaluate, and plan using internal management systems • Prepare students for external examinations • Maintain open and regular communication with parents

Job Requirements

• Native speaker qualified for Z Visa; • Bachelor's degree or above with TESOL/TEFL (120 Hours); Preference shown to candidates with IB PYP Educators Certification/PGCE/CELTA • At least 1 year of IB PYP primary school teaching experience. Familiarity with IB terminologies, and UOI collaborative planning methods. Experience with ManageBac Systems is preferred • Experience with Cambridge YLE exam preparation • Knowledge of International Assessment Programs such as CAT4/ PASS/ NGRT/ Testwise • Experience working with SEND students is a plus • Experience with Phonics Pedagogy • Ability to plan engaging lessons for young learners to be excited about learning English • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, organized, and strong innovative and creative skills to add to the school’s team Benefits: • Salary: up to 25k RMB/month after tax depending on your teaching experience and academic background • Sufficient Housing Allowance provided • Airfare reimbursement 10,000- 12,000 RMB / year • Relocation Allowance • Holidays: Fully paid winter, summer and all Chinese holidays • Insurance Provided (Top level international insurance purchased for you) • Work visa provided • Free lunch meals on the weekdays
